Mystery and Detection

We are huge - huge - fans of mysteries of the Golden Age. Think Agatha Christie, Ngaio Marsh, Margery Allingham, and Dorothy Sayers. Our mysteries don’t have much gore, but are head-scratching whodunits in the best Golden Age tradition. We have some contemporary authors, too, but not the writers of the grisly genre. Did you know that during the period between the two World Wars, mysteries were de rigueur with the intellectuals of the day? We like to think we are continuing that tradition with our distinguished customers!
