This is a beautiful book! Organized by decade, with full color, detailed photographs throughout on high-quality glossy paper, this book looks much more expensive than it is. The decades approach is a good one, and we especially enjoyed the chapters and photographs on La Belle Epoque, L'Art Nouveau, Edwardian, 1920's, and 1930's glamour, and well, we could just keep going to the present day. The book explains the key looks of each decade and sets the jewelry in context of broader historical design trends. It also has tips on collecting - see the tips on Miriam Haskell, for example, in the photo - part of two full pages dedicated to Haskell - and a shopping and collecting guide.
