Colorful pages introduce each section and provide a short description of each song, explaining the legend behind Carol of the Bells and telling the story of Bing Crosby's I'll Be Home for Christmas being broadcast into outer space in 1965. The sheet music for each song is accompanied by a stylized title and illustration, making the book fun for onlookers as the songs are played. Also enclosed in this copy is an extra lyric booklet, "All the Words to All the Songs in The Reader's Digest Merry Christmas Songbook." An attractive and festive book for celebrating Christmas.
