by Ray Bergman

Comments: The only sporting book to be in continuous publication for over 50 years, Trout remains a seminal work in fly fishing. Written by Ray Bergman, an avid fisherman who served as the angling editor of Outdoor Life magazine from 1933 to 1960, the book's educational description of trout fishing earned it a spot as one of the best selling sports books of all time. This 1938 first edition, features gilt lettering and design and top edge dark brown decorative stain. Lovely illustrated endpapers. Fifteen color plates of fly fishing techniques as well as black-and-white illustrations.
