Love Heels: Tales from Canine Companions for Independence

$30.00
by Patricia Dibsie; foreword by Dean Koontz
224 pages of doggie goodness, with pictures--mostly full-color photographs--on almost every page, Love Heels was written to demonstrate the work the non-profit organization Canine Companions for Independence does to pair service dogs with people with disabilities. The book doesn’t just tell the stories of these partnerships, either. It tells the stories of the volunteers who make the program successful and charts the progress of a service dog, from birth through puppyhood and training and onto the different types of jobs the dogs do. Ours is a very good copy (actually, better than that), with the only flaw being a clipped price on the inside dust jacket.
